Toyota’s rally car for the road

Back in December 2020, we were fortunate enough to receive 1 of the 1st Toyota GR Yaris' in the country.

Since then we have coated or individually maintained; or both, 4 different GR's in Hobart alone.

These small two-door, 3-cylinder rocket ships were released in a limited batch quantity of 1,000 retailing at just $39,990 - that's a lot of bang for buck! Sporting a lively 6-speed manual transmission hooked up to a capable AWD system, allowed the Yaris to accelerate to 100Km/h in 5.2 seconds - 0.4 seconds slower than a Golf R of the same year! (And 0.4 seconds quicker than the Liberty and 10 seconds quicker than Jacob's Jimny)

But what makes this car truly special in our eyes, is that it's a homologation special, with a strong rally heritage - hopefully restarting a fiery trend once seen in the 90s and early 00s.
